Camp Marlin Doggie Daycare was established in June of 2006. Camp Marlin was formerly known as Camp Wag-A-Lot, founded by Kelly Meyers over four years earlier.  Camp Marlin is owned by Ali Morton, a large animal veterinarian and Assistant Professor of Large Animal Surgery at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She named the daycare after her beloved yellow lab, Marlin.    "That's me!"

Doggie daycare, a fairly new concept, has been sweeping the nation by storm. While you are away at work or school, your pup will be outside running free, cooling off in our pools, all while playing with a great group of other Campers and Camp Counselors for the day.

What Camp Marlin Offers:

We have a 2.5-acre shady outside "play ground" for your dog to enjoy with his or her doggie friends. This includes kiddie pools to cool off in, lots of room to play fetch or catch a frisbee, and even a giant digging pit!  We also have a covered porch for your dog to just relax and cool off in front of the fan.

Camp Marlin also has a large inside area with central heating and air conditioning for your dog's comfort. This is were the dogs enjoy the quieter parts of the day, and nap on our fluffy blankets or maybe even one of our Camp Counselor's laps.

During the day there is always a Camp Counselor around to supervise all of the dogs' play times and make sure everyone is getting along nicely. Our standards in safety and protection for your favorite canine are our top priority and are maintained and exceeded on a daily basis, to ensure your pets utmost happiness and safety.

How do to enroll your dog at Camp Marlin:

First time campers need to call or email Camp Marlin and set up a trial day.

New dogs must also meet these requirements and owners need to show proof:

* Puppies must be at least 3 months of age and have had at least 2 sets of vaccinations ("shots") including canine distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus (DHPP) and Bordatella ("Kennel Cough"), as well as appropriate deworming before attending.

* Dogs 6 months of age or older need to have been neutered or spayed. They also need to be up to date on their vaccinations, including Rabies (1 or 3 year vaccine), DHPP, and Bordatella, and on routine heartworm, flea, and tick preventative regimes.

The trial day will be your dogs first day of daycare were we will evaluate their temperment and play style. By requiring trial days for every dog we can ensure that every dog that comes to Camp Marlin is going to be safe and enjoy their time at daycare.

We look forward to meeting you and your pup soon!
